Canada Online Therapist

Hi everyone! My name is Lee, and I’m a Canadian-Korean online therapist.

My family immigrated to Canada when I was five years old, settling in Edmonton, Alberta. I later moved to Nova Scotia to pursue my undergraduate degree in Psychology and then to Montreal to complete my graduate studies.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of navigating the immense challenges and profound joys of offering high-standard mental health services in various roles. From sitting beside a patient on suicide watch to supporting someone through the moment they learn of a terminal illness, and holding an elderly patient’s hand as they took their last breath—these were some of the most defining moments early in my career. My journey has since expanded to include further training, such as counseling at a university or government agency for at-risk youth and integrating canine-assisted therapy in senior homes, universities, and correctional facilities.

I’ve also worked extensively in oncology, palliative care, and post-surgery wards, providing support to both patients and their families.

For the last 15 years, I’ve been dedicated to continuous training under the guidance of some of the best in the field—whether in private practice, hospital wards, community centers, or nonprofit charity agencies. I’ve had the honor of studying under renowned and innovative psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and the founders of leading therapy modalities.

Two years ago, I opened my own practice, which has flourished primarily through word-of-mouth referrals from previous clients. I feel incredibly fortunate to experience my work as a source of pleasure, assisting others in their journey of self-healing with a compassionate approach to therapy.

It is with great pleasure that I now offer online therapy to Canadians. My entire career has been a preparation for this role, as I believe we are here to help one another.

In my off time, when I’m not tirelessly working to reach my clients organically, I’m with my beloved canine-assisted therapy Shih Tzus. We share a special bond, filled with love, fun, and mutual support. I’m blessed by their companionship as they patiently stand by me through my long hours.

Before embarking on my journey as a therapist, I was a music producer, and I hope to return to that passion someday alongside my remote therapy work.

I’m so happy you’ve found me and my fur family. Please bookmark Canada Online Therapy and join our community—you are more than welcome.

Warm regards,
Lee Park

Lee Park, Psychotherapist & Registered Counseling Therapist - Candidate

With over 14 years of experience in talk therapy and a foundation in Counseling Psychology that spans more than two decades, Lee Park is a seasoned professional dedicated to helping individuals and couples achieve emotional and psychological well-being. As the founder of Canada Online Therapy, Lee has pioneered accessible mental health services across Canada by overcoming the traditional barriers to psychotherapy through telephone and internet-based interventions.

Lee has successfully guided thousands of clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), resulting in significant improvements in their emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Clients often report immediate feelings of hope and noticeable improvements in their cognition, perception, and behavior.

Lee sees psychotherapy as an opportunity to transform everyday stresses into pathways for personal growth, healing, and enhanced functioning. With a deep respect for the therapeutic process, Lee helps clients navigate stress, improve interpersonal relationships, and make better decisions, all while fostering self-efficacy, autonomy, and resilience. Lee's integrative approach combines empirically supported methods, including psychodynamic, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and humanistic-existential modalities.

In recent years, Lee has developed a special interest in couples therapy, witnessing remarkable progress in the couples she works with. As a culturally competent therapist, Lee identifies as BIPOC, is LGBTQ2S+ inclusive, and draws from her experience as a second-generation immigrant Korean Canadian.

Before dedicating her career to psychotherapy, Lee was an award-winning music performer and producer, known for creating innovative fusion music blending tango, jazz, klezmer, hip hop, and Mi'kmaq Indigenous sounds. Lee brings the same passion and creativity to her therapeutic work, empowering clients to embrace their full potential and achieve holistic healing.
